I just recently ordered the peppermint tea from this board and have noticed that I am peeing a lot. Is peppermint tea a diuretic? I have no infection and when I got I go a lot and my bladder is full. I love drinking the peppermint tea before I go to bed and last night I was up every 2 hours and have noticed this since I have been using this strong of a peppermint tea. I think fennel is a diuretic, but I have not had any of that for a while.

I thought only the ones with caffeine? Does anyone have peppermint tea before bed? I wondered if it's the peppermint that is a diuretic?

If it were a diuretic we would have heard lots of stories from people that take Heather's peppermint capsules

Of course if your peppermint tea contains regular tea as well then the regular tea could act as a diuretic.

I drink pepperment and chamomile mixed, or just pepperment, every night for the last few hours before sleep. I get up every morning about 6 am to go to the bathroom, a little conveinient b/c my alarms is off at 7:30 I've tried not drinking the tea to close to bedtime, and yeah, still up at 6. so for me, it is just if I drink anything near bedtime, even plain water

No, it's not a diuretic. The problem could simply be that you're drinking more liquids now that you've added in the peppermint tea.

I didn't think so, because I use the cap as well, but just wanted to check.
