IS there anyone who has IBS that does not drink alcohol? If so, what do you drink when you go to the bar? I can't have coffee, soda's or alcohol....any option other than water?

I cannot tolerate any alcohol, caffeine or pop. I like to drink hot water with honey when I go out to eat. I also get virgin strawberry margarita (little sirop, ice, strawberries blended). Tell them no whip cream. That's about it for me.

the strawberry margarita sounds perfect...I'll try that one thanks! I usually take a herbal tea bag when I go out for a meal and just ask for hot water, it's just going to the bar that is very limiting..but thanks for you input, I appreciate it.

A blended drink without alcohol is a good idea; they sometimes have HFCS though. Really only water and hot tea are safe. Alcohol bothers me a lot but sometimes I have a mint mojito on a full stomach. This seems ok. Also something like vodka and cranberry juice may sit ok. Even the drinks based with pop are unsafe. The important part is never drink on an empty stomach.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
