Have your doctor run all recommended tests including a colonoscopy.

Hi lilyflower. I'm sorry to hear that you're having pain. How frustrating. Did the 2 colonoscopys show any results?

I have a friend who suffers from Proctalgia Fugax and though you may not be going through this, it sure does sound similar to what he experiences several times a year for 30 minutes at a time (which is the most severe as you'll read through the link).

I hope you find answers and feel better.

IBS shouldn't cause you to bleed. You doctor should run all the recommended tests.

I know that lower back pain combined with bowel issues can actually be caused by endometriosis. Maybe you should check with your gynecologist.

have had a hysterectomy a couple of years ago. it is not bad as long as I stick to rice products and no meat no wheat and not to many veggies. am on 5 mg of prednisone and seems to be helping for some reason that dr does not know why?I would be sick and constantly in the bathroom if it weren't for the prednisone... have not been this good for many years and bowels are better to which is nice.
