Have any of you found that has soon as your period started your IBS got better? It seems that I am always worse during about 1 1/12 weeks before my period and then once it starts life becomes a little easier, not perfect but easier to deal with it.

I think this depends on what your main symptom is. I think the typical thing (and that happens to non-IBS:ers too but maybe not to the same extent) is that the bowels tend to get slower the last few days before the period and then a bit faster the first few days of the period. This would mean that IBS-D:ers might be happier the days before their period while C:ers might be happier the first few days of their period.

I agree completely. As IBS-C i love the first few days of my menstruation (well the not-IBS part of it anyway, i could do without the cramping tho ) but the days just before are hell. So if you are ibs-c too, it sounds very logical.

Yes, it is the same with me. I am IBS-A and I know that I finally get some D (and relief) the day or so before my period. For example I just started yesterday. Well all last week and up till Wed of this week I was in a lot of pain and C, then Wed relief with a little D and regular BM. Now no stomach pain other than the regular period cramps which I can certainly deal with.
