Hi, First post, I have been reading the posts, have learned a lot, a question, I have IBS, also acid reflux, the book says do not eat cooked tomatos, but in some of the recipes there are tinned tomatos, which i used to use a lot. so can i have them. also is there a sub in uk for graham crackers. thanks, Tilad

You will probably find that although most of the recipes in the EFI book are meant to be safe for most IBS:ers there may be some you need to avoid or adjust to your needs. If you have bad reflux then you probably need to stay away from cooked tomatoes. The best thing is to try. In general acidic food does not upset IBS (although it may in some cases). However it is common for people with reflux to get more reflux problems from it. So, you need to figure out exactly what you can tolerate here - if you need to stay away from it completely or if you can have small or moderate amounts et.c.
