hi,
i was wondering why Bean-O and the like are suggested for the painful gas of IBS. not just for belching, but for flatus, which does not have a scent most of the time because the gas associated with IBS is not a normal passing of it. how can anything over the counter for everyday gas help stop this? sometimes the gas (flatus, i mean) is as painful as a bowel movement, and until one passes it, the pain won't let up. my gas has eased somewhat, but i still get it and it can be either stomach upsetting or painful. would Bean-O really help, or any other similar to it?

Hi - I've tried Beano and it did absolutely nothing for me. Went back to using Gas-X; sometimes in the middle of the night I'll wake up with excruciating anal gas pain, almost feels like a charlie horse - I'll chew 1/2 a Gas-X and within minutes the gas pain is gone. Since every person is different, it's still the "try what works for you" - no magic pill......
