I've been using the tummy fiber for a little over a month..I've never been diagnosed with IB, but have suffered with chronic constipation for as long as I can remember...I've had some good results with the fiber..I am taking 2-3tbsp a day..is that a high dosage? I feel bloated and often have the gassiness I had using the other fiber supplements, but I am happy to say I go to the bathroom everyday! With the other stuff I would have to take it for about 3 days before I had results. Do you usually find the dosage that works for you and stay at that dosage or do you eventually have to increase again? Do things ever start working correctly on their own and you can stop with the fiber? Is there anyway to get rid of the bloating and gass? Thanks so much...

You really should get properly diagnosed by a doctor. He or she needs to run a battery of tests to rule out other serious illnesses.
Do you get enough IF with your meals? If not, that might cause gas and bloating. But you can get those symptoms just because that's how IBS can be sometimes. You can try fennel tea for gas and bloating.
If you find a dosage that works for you, you might as well stay at that dose. You can try to increase and see what happens since you can always decrease back to your original dose that worked.
To not use any fibre supplement you'd have to make sure you're getting the correct proportions of IF and SF in your daily diet to get things moving properly. some people on this board have managed to stay stable with just diet.
