I'm on my 3rd day of BTC so I'm paying pretty close attention to my body, but unfortunately I started my period today and my stomach feels all messed up. I know my period usually gives me GI symptoms (although I don't really understand why). Should I just ignore this or should I look more closely at what I've eaten today? Thanks!

You should probably just accept it as a consequence of that time of the month, especially right now, where you already know you're eating really safely.

Some of us, unfortunately, will always have once-a-month problems, no matter how careful we are - not saying that'll definitely be the case for you, but it could happen. I've considered myself "stable" for 2 years now, but I still have period-related bad IBS days now and then.

Thanks - that's good to know that I'm not totally off-track. I can deal with a bad day or two per month if I can get to that point!

My advice would be to not overanalyze it b/c our periods can play havoc on our bellies (even for people without IBS). Just keep eating safely and after your period is over you will be that much more ahead of the game and should feel better.
