So I'm going to start out slow like Heather's post recommends. 1/4 tsp 2x's per day. Should I do that for what a week? Then 1/2 tsp 2 x's per day for a week and so on? I'm VERY prone to gas from fiber supplements so I haven't been taking one for a long time. Everyone raves about Acacia so I have to try it. I just want to be sure I don't get gassy and bloated. I've read and reread the posts here about Acacia, just wanted some advice on my personal situation. Thanks all!

It's great to start slow, especially if you're prone to gas, but I don't know if you need to wait a full week. It certainly won't hurt if you want to play it on the safe side, but if you're doing okay, I think you can increase after 4-5 days. See what others suggest. Hope it helps you. (If you are d, it should definitely make a big difference.)

I started out small and increased 1/4 tsp 2x day every 5 days. I'm up to 2 tsp 2x day now and never ever had any problems with it. I've been on it for 5 months now. I have had no symptoms (except for a little gas in the evenings-I can live with that) for 19 days now (IBS-A). I also take 3 peppermint caps a day, and beano with lunch and dinner. Good luck.

I just started on it and am into my second week. I began at 1/2 tsp and up it to 1 tsp. a 5 of days ago. I did have some gas so I'm taking it slower and will stick with 1tsp 3x a day for a bit. I'm letting my body tell me when it feels so great that it's time to move on. I'm also seeing good results with more normal moves, I'm IBS-C. I don't always need as much in dosage so I'll stop when things are "normal". Life is much better these days and I'm only on day 13. Hope it helps you too.
