Im 11 weeks pregnant and have IBS D. I posted a few weeks ago.My doctor gave me Bentyl 10 mg 4x a day and Imodium when I need it. It wasnt working so he increased it to 20mg 4x a day but it makes me tired and spacey. I just want to make sure Im getting enough nutrients for the baby because most days I feel like I eat but it doesnt stay in my body long enough to absorb anything. Has anyone ever experienced this? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I didn't take any meds while pregnant, but just wanted to let you know that it might clear up soon. From about 16wks on, my IBS went into remission for the rest of each pregnancy. When the baby grows and starts to push on the intestines, normal women normally get C. Women like us usually start having normal bowel habits. My pregnancies were the only times in my life when I could eat whatever I wanted without getting sick.
