Does anyone know if fennel tablets work as well as fennel tea? I HATE the tea...if I have to drink one more cup I think I will have to scream! I usually chug it luke warm and plug my nose!

Hi,

I have tried the tablets and do not think that they had any effect at all. Sometimes I would take two at a time and it mildly helped but the only cure for gas for me is the tea which I have learned to deal with. Also, I accidentially dropped one of those tablets in a glass of water once and let it sit there and went back to it HOURS after and the coating still hadn't dissolved!! Very weird.

I have started taking beano lately and have not have had nearly the need for the tea as I usually have. I was up to three cups a day in the morning.

Have you tried mixing the fennel tea with other herbal teas?

Good idea, but I've tried it. All I can taste is the fennel. I even put it in a double spice chai latte, and I could still taste it. Gag!

Hello,
I have never tried Beano, but I think I will give it a try. I wonder why the fennel tablet didn't dissolve?? No wonder it didn't do any good! Thanks!

I hope that latte wasn't made with dairy milk.

NO! No dairy for this gal! I use a very small amount of Silk soymilk creamer into a strongly brewed cup of Stash double spice chai.

They do have peppermint/fennel blends that are mixed together - like Celestial Seasonings Tummy Mint (but they really are mostly all peppermint with only a little fennel). I find those never work for me though - only straight fennel works. I don't like the taste but with lots of sugar I got used to it. Much better than the alternative!

I use the seeds from the spice aisle and they don't help at all. I grind them and let them steep, but still, no relief.

How many cups a day do you need?

Thanks! I do like the results of the fennel, but the taste is awful. I will try putting lots of sugar in it and chugging it. How many cups do you drink per day? And what brand?
