How much Beano do you all take at a time and also daily? The bottle says 2-3 before a meal...I usually do 3 only if the meal has something really gassy. It doesn't say how often you can take it throughout the day? Is it safe to take EVERY MEAL if necessary and EVERY DAY? I find myself starting to take it before lunch almost like a preventative b/c sometimes I get gas late afternoon from things that I wouldn't think were obvious culprits (ie, turkey sandwich with 1 slice tomato).

I use Beano effectively as directed: 1 Beano per 0.5 cup of gassy foods. Take it before the first bite and it should work. I have taken many more than 2 or 3. I generally use AT LEAST 5 per meal. Please note that I despise easily avoidable food related GAS. It's amazing how much it helps me avoid gassy D related attacks as well.

Wow, Kate, that makes me feel better! I thought me taking FOUR before each meal was a lot!
You can take it before every meal if you want to; I take it 2-3 times daily, four pills each time.

Wow. Thanks. I guess I'm doing fine and perhaps I'll be less hesitant to take a bit more sometimes. It helps but not always 100% at the amount I take.

Usually, I consume more than 2-3 Beano serving sizes of potentially gassy foods at a meal. Therefore, I take more than 2-3 Beano per meal. Remember: Beano is effective for more than just gassy veggies. It's great with soy, nuts, legumes, and even gassy root veggies and grains. Here's an example: if I am having a glass of soy milk, I'll pop 2-3 Beano tabs. Soy milk used to give me the rudest and most painful gas attacks until I started applying Beano magic!
Safe SF wholegrains like oatmeal used to hassle me, but with Beano, I don't have a problem.

Anyone use the Beano drops? I saw them in the store and I was wondering if they are just as good and also if they have any taste when you add them to your food?

Correction - I take FOUR pills at a time, 2-3 times per day. I take it anytime I'm eating veggies, beans, soy, or nuts. I've even gotten my DH to start taking it. Not sure I get it at a "good price", I just buy it at Target, and we go through quite a bit! But I think it's worth it. Can you buy it in bulk at Sam's or Costco, or somewhere online?

I've never tried the Beano drops. I have heard that they are not as effective as the Beano caps.

Sorry I don't know about Canada. I'm in NJ and I saw them at a Shop-rite. I don't recall if the drops were more money than the pills but it appears that you would need quite a bit of drops based on their website calculations per meal. I wouldn't mind if they were tasteless and not too expensive. For some reason I "choke" a bit on the pills. I know that's ridiculous b/c they are so small but I think it's b/c they are chalky.
