GAS ! PAIN! HEARTBURN! WORSE EVER WHAT COULD IT BE?

Hi this has been a rough week it all started last friday when I had a bm and then had the worse like chest pain buring and fullnes in my chest the rest of the day! Well it went away. Then on tues I had another little bm and didn't feel good ate lunch and had the worse gas pains i gass and buring in chest again like heartburn or something and in my hip. By the night it had left there and went to my stomach and burn and just hurt I took some (ibs) med and the next moring felt a little btter and felt a little better yesterday still gassey and little buring pain in chest. But this moring it hit me it woke me up I had a very soft bm and ended up having 3 more before the moring was over no attack no d just bm and my chest from the middle straight down to my stomach hurt so bad i could barley walk it has eased up a liitle and I ate some dry noodles for lunch but still feel heavyness and some pain is this gass and could it be form the fennel tea? Or is the a non ibs prolbem kinda scared a little help would b e great! Thanks! Emmasmom

If your tummy is tender when you press on it, it could be gas pain. Gas pain can be pretty horrible. Did you try taking Gas-X? It might be a good idea to run your symptoms by an advice nurse if you have medical insurance, to put your mind at ease.

Hard to believe, but gas pain can be extremely painful!! Do you have any prescription antispasmodics? Those usually work well for me in that situation. Also, lay down and put a heating pad on your tummy, and gently massage it, too. It helps!

Peace of mind can do a lot to help you feel better where anxiety related symptoms are an issue.

It does sound like - and hopefully it is - gas. For the burning chest, try Gaviscon. Then, get to your doctor for a check-up. You might need to start taking a medication for GERD. Good luck!

Well it kept getting worse and hubby was scared that it was my gallblader so we went to the er and the say it was gastritis and a developing ulcer!!!! I am so tired of this!!
I wish I would of just took my medicine and layed down and saved us some $$$!

It's gonna be ok. That is where I was on New Year's day, I have worked in a hospital since 1975 and I could not get this woman Dr. to stop saying it was just a panic attack. even after she pressed my upper mid line and I jumped in pain 3x, she still discharged me as a panic atack. (I found out later I had also a bout of pancreatis) So you are not stupid, breath, look around at all the good, and when you hear yourself downing you and your symptoms yell STOP and soon you will be in control, now go sip some peppermint tea and breath

I've tried the Fennel Tea for gas, didn't help. Now I'm trying Beano before a meal and that seems to help a lot.
