Here's a fun topic. I was just making myself tea and was wondering, how do you all drink your tea? For example, I just drink mine plain, no sweeteners, no milk or creamer, nothing. But my family only drinks tea with honey and creamer. Others I know drink it with a bit of sugar, others with some milk. I only like mine plain, like drinking flavored water.
So, how do YOU drink your tea?

Depends what I'm drinking.
If I'm drinking my usual Good Earth Good Night tea, I drink it plain.
Fennel tea requires honey in my world.
Chai, I will drink with a little honey and a splash of soy milk.
Every once in a while, I have a cup of decaf Constant Comment plain.
Fruit teas, I drink plain.
Rooibos Earl Grey is also plain.

I also like it plain - Or how I tell others "I like to taste what I'm drinking".

Herbals, I take with a lot of sweetener. A LOT. For some reason, every herbal I've ever tried - regardless of brand, flavor, loose vs. bags, etc - has been too bitter for my taste. I have a wicked sweet tooth.
Rooibos (redbush), I take with a little sweetener and a little non-dairy creamer. Just a little! The flavor to me is closer to a "real tea", and I always drank black tea with sugar and creamer, so...
Green teas - which, yes, aren't necessarily safe for a lot of people, and should definitely be avoided if you're still trying to stabilize (standard disclaimer! LOL) - I drink straight up, nothing added.

I drink all teas plain, with two exceptions: Chai gets a little honey and a little soymilk. Herbatussin (a medicinal tea that I drink occasionally for chest congestion) gets a lot of honey, because I don't much like the taste.
When I drink iced tea, I put a little lemon juice in it.

I used to drink tea plain all the time until a lady who runs a tea shop told me that a little bit of sugar...even the littlest bit, will bring out the flavor of most teas. So, I put in a little sprinkle and it really does the trick!

I was in fact having my standard cup of fennel tea with honey as i read your post. I also drink peppermint tea with honey but use a little sugar and soy milk in my morning decaf black tea. I've drank it that way ever since my brother came back from Australia with his "tea time" habit and that's the way Aussies drink tea!(with regular milk, though)
