Hi, My daughter is getting sick of chicken and turkey. Just wondering if any of you tolerate ham. I saw some at the natural foods store. It's Applegate brand Black Forest Ham and is gluten and dairy free. So tempted to give it a try. Any feedback? Thank you

If you mean ham as in meat from a pig, then that is an IBS trigger.

If you wanted to use it as a replacement for chicken and turkey, then the answer is no, I don't tollerate that much ham. I do tollerate it in small quantities though.
Have you guys tried fish?

I tolerate pork very well, though for some reason, I do better with pork chops than ham. Sometimes, but not always, ham makes me gassy. Chops never do.
Technically, however, pork is a trigger.
What about turkey ham? It tastes like a trigger, but it's not. It tastes just like ham but it's actually turkey.

I cannot tolerate ham AT ALL. It is one of the absolute worst triggers for me... and I mean BAD D, BAD cramping, feel like I'm going to pass out... BAD attacks!
I would definitely not suggest that you try it.
Does she like any seafood? Shrimp, salmon, and tilapia are all very easy to make. Also, if she's willing to try tofu, it is a great meat replacement in things like spaghetti (if she tolerates tomato sauces well), soup, stir-fry, etc.

I only tolerate fake ham & fake pork products. Perhaps try some fake mock-meats for the flavour factor that seems to be missing.
Real pork causes me intense pain, cramping, D, etc.

I cannot eat ham because of the preservatives and the fat. I can eat lean cuts of pork such as pork tenderloin. Cold thin slices of pork tenderloin make great sandwiches.

I can tolerate one slice of cold cut ham on homemade chicken cordon blue make with fake cheese, egg whites, and bread crumbs...eaten along with rice or pasta. This is only on occasion though so be careful.
