Hi. I had d intermittently in the beginning of my pregnancies (what I assumed was just my normal IBS kicking in...having nothing to do with being pregnant for me.) Later, I was lucky, as I assume most non-IBS women are...I was constipated which I actually loved for a change. Of course toward the end the c and heartburn were killing me, but once I got past the first trimester and the baby started putting pressure on everything "below", I did not have d anymore, except for an occassional attack, usually stress related. I ate ice cream and pizza sooo much and was still fine. I hope you can do the same too (within reason! )

Why don't you want to take the immodium? Is it b/c you are worried about the baby's development? I'm no doctor, but I was told that immodium was okay also but definitely to not take pepto bismol b/c there is aspirin in it I think. Do you feel like you need to take immodium every single day right now? If so, I'm not sure what's going on. Probably something hormonal that hopefully will subside. Maybe someone else has had a similar experience and will share. Good luck and congratulations!
