I'm clueless how to read this label:

Dietary fiber 3 g
Soluble fiber 3g g (this is indented under dietary fiber)

Is there a total of 6 g of fiber (3 of SF and 3 of IF)? Or is there just 3 g of SF? It doesn't have a "dose" or serving size listed either. So would the 3 or 6 g be per 2 tsp since that's what it says to take at one time.

I suppose I could have used the % they gave me to figure that out too. I'm not sure why I was so confused! Thanks!

Are you taking the new formula Benfiber with wheat dextrin? If so, how do you tolerate it? Or, aren't you on a high enough dose yet to be able tell?

Well now that I know that I was actually getting half of what I thought, I know why I wasn't really seeing any benefits. I don't believe it's done anything negative to me however. It actually dissolves into what seems like nothing - no trace that there's anything in the water.

Those fiber labels can be tricky!

So, you are using the new benefiber with the wheat dextrin?

It actually is quite confusing... I could understand the layout if there were IF in it as well to show the breakdown of how much of each...

It does have the wheat dextrin, which has no gluten (sp?) in it. I like it better then the ingredient they used to have - just taste, texture, etc. but I didn't take it properly to have helped my IBS so I can't compare there.

What about this product. The only bad thing about it is that it contains sucralose which may affect folks with
IBS-C. Its the very last ingredient so there is probably just a speck. It sounds like it has the best of both worlds. Pro and Pre biotic. http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-Fiber-Drink . Any thoughts?
