Has anyone tried Hoodia which is supposed to be a natural appetite suppressant? I don't need to lose weight, but I'm realizing how much my overeating is affecting my IBS. If I eat a small portion (not much more than a cup of food), I'm almost always fine. But it's so hard to do - I love to eat!!!
So, I've been thinking about an appetite suppressant, I don't wanna take Dexatrim or anything 'cause that's just speed, so I found this Hoodia stuff.....
Any comments?

Another thing to try is to eat more protein which will help you be less hungry.

That was interesting reading. It sounds as if it might work...
You mention protein and you are absolutely right. When I eat meat, I never overeat... but if I eat meat all day, I feel lousy at the end of the day. It's only the starchy stuff (i.e. safe food) that I binge on. <sigh>

Have you thought about mixing a rice protein powder into your oatmeal? I add some to my smoothie every morning, and it does help sustain me longer...

But but but.... my problem isn't being hungry sooner... it's wanting more food NOW!! Actually, yeah, I have done that and it's yummy!

I feel your pain!! I'm extremely hungry right now, as I'm typing this, but I'm forcing myself to wait until 3:30 to have my yummy zucchini bread snack...
Try more liquid-based foods. They literally fill your tummy faster and make you feel full sooner!

I'd never thought of doing that. That's a great idea.. I think I'll look for some rice protein powder. I haven't taken a protein powder before because smoothies and stuff I usually have at night, and wouldn't need more protein at night. Mornings are tough to get enough protein.
