I don't know what to think. I did a search on google scholar and came up with numerous papers saying MSG depletes taurine, others say it increases. Hopefully more work will be done in this area.

I'd be interested in getting my hands on the MSG capsules they used in their study :P Then I could really test for myself how MSG affects me.

In the study they say they administered 150 mg/kg body wt of monosodium glutamate (MSG). You can buy bulk MSG at oriental market. I think they sometimes call it a flavour enhancer. Knowing your weight you can calculate how much MSG you need to ingest. If you try it - tell us how it turns out.
