Happy Columbus Day weekend I was wondering if any of you have tried the new birth control pill Yaz? It is suppose to be great for PMDD and regulating hormones so I thought maybe it would be beneficial for my PMS associated increase in stomach pain. I was also hoping that the low dose of estrogen would cause less nausea. Any experience?
Thanks Danielle

Hi there. I take Yaz, and it works pretty well for me. Ive so far received no side effects from it all and it does help with my period pain. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Hi Lyn Thanks for your reply. Yaz consistently sounds like a good choice. Is this your first pill or have you been on others? I have had bad luck with other birth control pills...

When you say YAZ are you guys talking about Yazmin? My doc just put me on it yesterday to help regulate me. my ibs is awful a week before and during my monthly cycle. i just don't like the idea of taking birth control pills and i never found one that didn't make me nausea!

I haven't taken this one but I've been on 2 types of bc, and both only worsened my IBS. It doesn't effect everyone like this, but be careful with bc pills.

Hi Danielle, Yaz (Not Yazmin) but Yaz is the only BC Ive ever been on. It helps my IBS and I am IBS-A. The only side effect ive noticed from it is beast tenderness. No nausea or anything else. It makes your periods lighter and shorter and less painful. Yaz is a low dose BC so the chances of side effects are slimmed compared to others.
