unexplained nausea & vomiting?

Sorry in advance for being so gross. It's happening again, last time I thought it was a stomach bug. I'm nauseous & throwing up. Only this time I wasn't sick! I didn't start getting nauseous until about 1hr after I ate. I didn't eat anything unusual or any trigger foods. A turkey sandwich, same exact thing I had Mon & Tues, and I was feeling good, really good. But then yesterday I got sick again, like I said with no symptoms until about an hr before I threw up. And I've been nauseous ever since. I'm afraid to eat. I can't figure out what the heck is going on. My reg Dr told me I need to see my GI about it. So I called my GI but she can't see me until Nov 2! I'm so frustrated! Has anyone else had similar problems? Nausea that comes & goes, often coming on very quickly?

Definitely see your GI. However, have you been tested for sugar problems (diabetes/hypoglycemia)? Having that type of reaction that quickly after eating could be indicative of that.

Thank you! I'm almost in tears here, reading the list of symptoms for hypoglycemia. I have a lot of them. I'm going to ask my GI about it when I see her. I feel a mix of relief at a possible diagnosis, & frustration that none of my Dr's have mentioned this as a possibility. I've been dealing w/this off & on for over 2 wks now, it's worse than my IBS. I've lost about 5 lbs already! I can't imagine how some of the people on this website live w/similar problems for longer than that, years even! Thank you for giving me hope. And my heart goes out to the rest of you who have dealt w/this stuff for so long.
