Any of you girls out there ever try curves, its an exercise program just for girls? I have an elipical trainer at home and work out 6 days a week but can't lose any weight and everyone suggests I change routines. I don't like traditional gymes or classes so thought this might be good and its only $29.00 a month so its cheaper than a regular gym. Any thoughts??

I've never gone to Curves myself, but I know 2 people who do and think it's the most wonderful place ever! I've actually thought about joining, too. I've heard lots of good things about it!

I called and they said you can get one week free w/o any obligation so I think I'm going to give it a try, I'll let you know what I think!

i think exercise should be something you enjoy. i like to walk, so i do that a few days a week. if you enjoy it, you will keep it up. do you like the gym? i don't...

As someone with friends who work for gyms, let me tell you something: MOST gyms, fitness centers, etc get you to sign a contract with the hope you WONT show up. Imagine if everyone did show up at once? They wouldnt have the capacity to handle them. They make their money by signing ppl into contracts knowing most ppl will be too lazy to get out of the house and go.

I have exercised daily for an hour or more, 6 days a week for the past 2 years. Its easier for me at home. I use only a stationary recumbent bike. I lost over 100 lbs by doing that and eating the IBS way. I did it to cure the IBS but the weight loss took place too.
