acacia question

I just ordered Heather's acacia powder, but I would like some input to see if I should take it or not. I have had IBS for only about 4 months, and have had no D or C since I have changed my diet over 2 months ago. I seem to have flare ups every other week that last for a few days, with my main symptoms being abdominal pain/discomfort, fatigue, and just a general ill feeling.
If I use the acacia, will it help my current symptoms? And also, once I take it would I be able to quit using it at any time or do I have to continue taking it forever?

Well, acacia is just a fiber supplement, so you won't get physically dependent on it. I think if you got on it and it helped you, then you would destabilize a bit if you stopped it and didn't increase other forms of SF in your diet.
I'm not even considering stopping acacia because I feel so much better when I take it!
