Sounds great....BUT....

Side effects from Fructooligosaccharides - FOS (one the the ingredients) are gas & bloating... If I'm PMS'ing..that is the last thing I need!

info

I do see that listed as potential side effects in the above web link for that one ingredient, but it's a naturally occuirring ingredient and seems to have lots of benefits too, for digestion in particular. I wonder how much of the stuff you have to take in to suffer the bad side effects? I think dismissing the bars for that one ingredient might be throwing out the baby with the bathwater. I might give them a try when I get back from my vacation in September (I don't want to store them in my apt for a month while I'm gone). I'll let you know what I think!

I don't know if it's at all safe for IBSers because of the fat content, and I wasn't PMSy at the time, so it's hard to say if it helps that or not. But boy, was it tasty. It has a vaguely fruity flavor and a wonderful texture, not as waxy as a Hershey's. No ill effects from the FOS, either.

It's ridiculously expensive though, at almost $4 for a single bar the size of a Hershey's, so I doubt I'll be buying it on a regular basis. It'd have to do more than just get rid of a few crankies to make it worth that to me. LOL
