Can you tolerate oats but not wheat?

After some error/trial testing I figured that wheat bothers me - I get really bloated and get stomach cramps. I seem to tolerate oats, however. I wonder if that means I can have oat flour or should I stay away from it ?
I wonder if it's gluten that bothers me or if it's just wheat on its own - anyone has the same experience?

Yes, that's how it is with me. I can eat oats, rye, rice, quinoa, etc, but any kind of wheat (whole or white) just bloats me up immediatedly.

Oh, I thought that rye was also off the list - so it's really just wheat? THat means it's not gluten (rye has gluten) but just something in the wheat, right?

I can't handle wheat either.

Are you sure rye has gluten? I thought wheat had gluten.

I'm pretty sure wheat, rye, barley, and spelt have gluten.
