Can anyone tell me please whether there's a difference in how much an American teaspoon holds in comparison to a British one?
I want to start the Acacia Fibre, but not sure of measurement differences.
I read about differences in American ones somewhere in Heather's info ~ but I can't find it now!
Thanks!
Joanna

Here's a conversion Website that someone referenced on the Diet Board a while back:
web page
According to this, one US teaspoon is equal to 1.387 790 314 UK teaspoons. Since a US teaspoon is slighter larger than a UK teaspoon, I don't see any reason why you couldn't start with 1/4 UK teaspoon (or 1/2 or whatever measurement you want to start with in UK teaspoon size) and go up from there.
HTH.
PS - The difference you read about might have been between a measuring teaspoon and a regular teaspoon, like the ones you use to eat cereal. That's here.
