My question is related to colon cleansing...which I haven't found much info on here. I am IBS-D, well, mainly really IBS-A, but after so many interrupted social events I could literally bring on the IBS attacks just be thinking about them! I was wondering if there was any benefit to doing a gentle colon cleanse, one that takes 3 months. I have bought the acacia, which is working now that I'm up to 1 Tbsp/day and increasing...although I think it's giving me bad breath! My breath was fine before this--has anyone else out there experienced this? The peppermint pills are ok, but sometimes after I take one I can feel the cooling sensation in my chest. Is this normal? So, now that I am all over the map with my questions, I am wondering if a colon cleanse would do more harm than good. I think candida/parasites may be something that needs to be addressed as well especially if someone has bowel issues. I have been tested for parasites but found out that doctors can only test for 20% of them! Insights, anyone? Thanks....
