definately cheese for me. I used to love cheese and put it on everything. I also miss sour cream and can't eat it at all, can't even cheat a little bit. Instant D for me even when I am stable.

Hamburger. I miss meat sauce, sloppy Joe's, meat loaf. Hamburger is my one big trigger other than eating too much at one sitting.
Going out to eat. If I had a car it wouldn't be so bad, but when you have to walk home it's 15 mins. instead of 3 or 4 to drive.

Oooooh, man. I miss cheese so much! I used to love big thick slices of pizza, all gluey with cheese...and then I'd eat raw cookie dough out of the tub for dessert!

I used to put melted cheese on everything...those were the days...

Eggs. I get really hungry for good eggs. I'm no so sure stable I couldn't tolerate them either but I am *trying* to be good. I sat across from a friend at breakfast who ordered my favorite breakfast at Village Inn with EGGS and veggies and potatoes and cheese. Extreeeeeemely high fat (which may be my biggest culprit I'm thinking). I ordered oatmeal and fresh fruit, which was very good, but boy did I want what she had

I MISS ICE CREAM SO MUCH!! On Sat nights, my husband and I would sit and watch movies with 3-4 pints of Ben and Jerry's ice cream, switching back and forth until we were sick with yumminess. He still indulges (though he so sweet and offered not to eat it in front of me) while I sit and indulge with peppermint tea, 1/4 cup of rice dream ice cream and apple slices without peels!

I am also a huge baker and love to make cookies. The best part of baking is tasting the dough and there is NO way I can do that now. So I am forced to make cookies and smell the dough. It's amazing how much self-control one can have!

I miss salads the most. I have to "watch" my weight and I would always grab a salad for lunch. Now if I even eat one or two bites of lettuce, I am hurting before I leave the restaurant. I work in an office at a college and we go out once or twice a month for employees birthdays...and I miss eating things that I might feel are unsafe, like hamburgers, Mexican foods, Apple pie with Old Fashion Vanilla Ice Cream, etc. I miss coffee (even though I did discover Roma (a grain type substitute). But I think the biggest thing for me is worrying about what I can and can't eat and will I be able to work the rest of the day without having to go home because of an attack.

the fact that I can't bothers me. The other thing is when I'm hungy, I can't just eat what's available. I have to think about it too much. Oh the days when I had an iron stomach. I could eat ANYTHING and not be bothered by it.

I have to admit, I'm much more stable now and doing pretty good. I can enjoy a cup of coffee and eat a slice of pizza. But...I can't over do it and there are days when I can't and I pay for it. Oh well, such is IBS!
