I think gas and bloating is my worst problem with IBS. My constipation seems to be under control now, but I am still having lots of gas that doesn't come out.
I want to ask my doctor to test me for bacterial overgrowth as I heard that can be the cause of all the gas. My question is, how do they test for it? Did anyone have that done? How do they treat for it?

Here is (of course) an old post that might help.
