I was wondering if either one of these are safe? Now that it is summer and these are my favorite fruits, I wanted to make sure these are safe to eat.

Thanks

I can eat both in moderation. Canteloupe has a lot of calcium in it, so if I eat too much it can aggravate my C. But if I eat them in reasonable amounts, I usually don't have any problems.

...what other high calcium foods cause you constipation? I don't think of food (besides bananas and rice) causing more C. Does spinach or broccoli do this to you?

Interesting. I have osteoporosis so I was thinking I problably need to eat more calcium containing foods...whatever they may be.

I have to take broccoli in moderation too, but mostly because of gas. I take 1000mg calcium in a supplement, so I have to be careful not to overindulge on some foods. Canteloupe doesn't bother me unless I eat it several days in a row - which I have a tendency to do because I love it - and then I notice a difference. Hope this helps.

I ate it last, after my safe foods. I felt a bit bloated after eating (more so than usual), but I went for a mile walk and now I feel fine.
