Hi, I have read EATING FOR IBS and a bunch of recipes and all kinds of great information on this site - I find I am still confused by one thing
How can IBS folks eat pasta since it is mainly made from wheat I know there are all sorts of pasta - but it seems most recipes and recommendations are for just general pasta which is wheat based.
I am very confused - would someone with experience straighten me out
Thanks for the help

Welcome dragonfly.
Wheat is not an IBS trigger, therefore pasta is IBS safe. Some people on the boards suffer from wheat or gluten intolerance and they avoid pasta but most of us have no problem with it, or other starchy carbs.

I don't buy whole wheat pasta, it doesn't agree with me and my D tendency. The regular pasta is usually made with white flour, I make my own at times. And of course I don't buy egg noodles because they have yokes in them, typically.
