I have done a search through the message boards and can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for, so thought I'd post my question. I've heard a lot about white teas lately, and I know one difference between white and black tea is that the leaves are picked sooner and don't go through the fermentation process that black teas do. However, that doesn't really tell me if white tea is safer for IBS sufferers than black tea. I know caffeine is a problem, so that would be one thing to watch for with white teas, but I'm wondering if they fall under the "herbal" line as far as being safe for us. Thoughts, anyone?

White tea has less caffeine than green tea. Since it still contains caffeine it does not fall under the "herbal" line.
