Along with a good probitic and the SFS, you need to eat low glycemic foods for a problem with candidas. Finding low glycemic soluble fibre foods are difficult but there are some out there.

Out of curiosity how can it be so hard to believe? You have good bacteria, and bad bacteria there in your digestive tract on a regular basis....even a MD will tell you that. The problem of candidas arises when that balance is somehow upset, for example BC pills, antibiotics, etc. Then the bad bacteria starts to overcrowd the good bacteria. Not everyone develops this problem but there are many people who do get it.
Candidas is a lot like IBS - people will say it's all in your head.

I found that going on Heather's diet to stop the attacks helps me. Make sure you drink plenty of water and take enough fiber. You may need to be on the diet for several days to help calm your stomach. I hope you start feeling better soon. We all know how frustrating IBS can be. Good luck to you.

Glitchh, First: Who said you had Candida? A specific yeast causes it and it must be diagnosed by a lab or a doctor. It is treatable. Follow Heather's guidelines and also search the boards. There is an overwhelming amount of knowledge and it depends on your symptoms and diagnosis what will help. It takes patience and willingness to try different things. Keep asking questions. B.
