back pain

Is it common to have incredible lower back aching with IBS-D. My back aches with bowel movements, can sometimes hurt when I bend over and, most recently, the pain was so intense that I was misdiagnosed with a kidney stone.

That's not something I personally experience as a symptom of IBS. I'd have it checked out just to be safe if it's that bad.

Well, with constipation, i get lower back pain and was thought to have a kidneystone until x-rays. Im normally IBS-D but i dont know whats going on lately. Make sure you are having multiple BM's a day (atleast 2-3 i believe is normal) other than that, i dont understand why IBS-D would be giving it to you

I have back pain when I am having an attack. I guess I would describe it more of a burning, cramping in my back. Kind of like a period back ache is how I have described it....
