I know I asked this before, but things have not improved for me.

I have cramping/pain that is almost constant, morning until night. I actually don't have D anymore, my stool is actually nice and formed now (sorry if TMI). If anything, my stool can be a little bit too formed so it almost feels like C, but I still "go". My lower back does ache a lot sometimes, I'm not sure if it is because my stomach hurts so I bend forward a little or if it is something else.

I have taken all the main tests, colonoscopy, ultrasound, blood tests, stool tests, and the dr's haven't found anything wrong. I even went to a Naturapath and he said that I just have h-pylori and is giving me these weekly shots & pill (probiotics, I think). It's not helping.

I'm at my wits end trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I am getting so depressed about this and am starting to get panic attacks afraid the pain will get worse and worse.

What do you think? Anyone else have pain but no D or C? That's why I'm beginning to think this is not IBS but something else and I'm worried.

Can this be Endometriosis? My period is very regular and not heavy. Plus I have pain even when not on my period. So I didn't think it was Endo.

Can I get your guy's opinions? Please?

I too have periods where my only symptom is pain w/o D or C. Currently, I don't have C (although sometimes it feels like it, but I still go) since I started Zelnorm and I have D with my period or after a trigger meal. But I still have constant stomach pain and cramping, lower back pain and aches, gas, many of the symptoms you described. My stomach feels so tender it feels like someone punched me in the gut most of the time. Because I had an ovarian cyst (the first time I had an IBS attack, although undiagnosed at the time), when I started having severe attacks, symptoms, pain in my stomach/bellybutton area this year, my doctor did a pelvic ultrasound and an internal ultrasound to look at the uteris and endometrial lining. I was a-ok in those areas. If you are worried, I would ask your doctor for those tests, however, your symptoms sound a lot like mine and I don't have endo. Organic peppermint tea helps to ease some of the pain and cramping for me to a manageable level; does this work for you? I also have acute gastris, which might produce some of your symptoms as well...they can tell if your stomach is inflammed during the colonoscopy so I would expect they would have identified that though. Hope this helps.

I just had a stomach & a pelvic ultrasound and found nothing unusual.

I have a lot of gas, too. Sometimes it feels better once I pass the gas. I keep telling my GI about this and he just tells me to chew slowly and take a charcoal tablet before I eat. The dr didn't say anything of inflammation after my colonsoscopy. Is this a symptom of gastris?

The heat pac helps when I can't take the pain any longer. But, I can't always have a heat pack with me or get to a microwave to heat it. I was drinking the peppermint tea but I haven't for a while. I don't really like to taste. Is that what helps you? Do you take the peppermint caps?

Haven't started peppermint caps yet. Does anyone else have info on this? Gastritis is an inflammation of the membrane that lines the stomach; if it progresses, it can lead to ulcers. This can cause abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, and or blood in stool. That may be part of my constant abdominal pain, not sure if that is the case for you. I think the gas is more to do with the IBS, personally, but the pain could be either. Either way, the dr. should have told you if that was the case after your colonoscopy. Did they do an internal ultrasound to look at your endometrial lining or just the external pelvic ultrasound? That will make a difference...

Also, chamomile tea sometimes helps me if you can't stand the peppermint. Does this work for anyone else? Also, re: heat pacs have you tried the ones that stick onto your body. They come for back and menstrual cramps. Playtex makes one as does ThermaCare. They are the only way I get through my period and you can wear them under clothing. Very discreet. Hope that helps.

Best wishes!

I had the pelvic ultrasound that was outside, not the internal one. Do you think I should suggest I do that one? What would the internal be used to find?

Thanks so much for sharing with me what worked for you. I'm so depressed and discouraged by all of this. Thanks!

Hi, I need to correct an error in your message. The Colonoscopy goes into the entire large intestine and not into the stomach. So if you are having problems you think are in your stomach, you would need another kind of a test like I had. A tube is also used to go down the esophogus and into the stomach.

All they found when they did this was a small benign polyp.
I have had five Colonoscopies and will not under any cercomstances go thru any more.

The last Dr. that performed this procedure gave me double doses of Demeral and I still had such bad pain, he felt so bad as he thought he could do it without any pain and I had already told him I would not have another one. They never showed anything and he was so sure he could help with the pain. NO more of these for me. I have extra tender intestines caused from having Endometriosis for ten years that were like fingers all over the Uterus and intestines. Once the total Hysterectomy was over, the intestines went crazy and have been nothing but pain and touble ever since.

Hi -- I have a lot of pain also. Sometimes it is on my right side sometimes behind my belly button. I have had all the test too! I feel like you sometimes and wonder if it something else even though I think between the three different doctors I have seen they have ruled everything else out. The Peppermint caps seem to help my pain. Try them if you can tolerate peppermint. There is a Tummy Tea out on the market that also helps me. Good luck to you and DON'T let this take over your life.

The internal U/S is used to get a close up look at everything in there. I had them done to monitor ovarian cysts. They're not a big deal. The worst part is having to pee so much from all of the water they make you drink beforehand.

It doesn't sound like Endo. I quite frequently have pain with no D or C to go along with it. Don't give up. If your current doctor(s) can't help you, go find another one. Someone will have the answer. You just have to keep trying.

Wow, i'm home now (and not out watching my friend in her performance ) because of this exact same awful pain... I did take a peppermint capsule and that kind of helped, but I laying low tonight because it even hurt when I walked this afternoon.

Anyone know if this comes with C? I've always been a D up until I started adjusting my diet, and now I'm an A... but I hadn't had this kind of pain before until the C started...
