While I was there I had a lot of (unknown to me) unpasturized milk and cheese. I ended up with a GI infection. That might be where it started. We don't know for sure. IBS A 20+ years, Chronic Migraines, Chiari Malformation (decompressed June 22, 2010), Brachial Neuritis, and ??? the list just keeps growing, but I'm still shiny side up! I've had IBS since I was 12. Even before that, I had vague stomach troubles... seriously as far back as I can remember. I've ALWAYS had it, and not for any particular reason. Anxiety makes it worse, but it wasn't the cause. My father has various gut troubles too, as does his mother. They say it isn't hereditary, but I beg to differ. About six years ago I think I developed a mild case of IBS-C and on Jan.17,2005, it turned absolutely nasty. I woke up that morning feeling really C and in bad pain, it felt like I had a blockage in my sigmoid colon. I couldn't figure out how the heck that happened overnight, but it did and it didn't stop.
