Has anyone ever tried Zelnorm? If you have, can you tell me if it worked for you or not. I'm IBS-C and have tried it, but it didn't do anything for me. =( Thanks for reading!

I've never used it personally, but do a board search - for this and Digestrin (I saw your other post too) - both of these have come up many times in the past, especially Zelnorm.

I was on Zelnorm for at least a year. It worked for my C;however, it caused D once in awhile. It wasnt the best option for me. Also, as most of us have experinced the GI dr I went to gave me bad advice and I was eating all the wrong foods ! Ive been off the Zelnorm since Feb, I stopped it on my own, and I am know IBS-A. Go figure. I guess the Zelnorm is individual.. I hope this helps!

I've been on Zelnorm. My GI doc put me on it when I wasn't able to go. He put me on it for 2 weeks, the first week, I took it everyday, the next week I took it every other day. I was also on a Colon Cleanse with it too. It worked. But I've heard on these boards that it does not work for everyone.

I'm IBS C with pain and bloat. I typically control the C with daily Miralax. However, if I feel that I am going into a really bad pain attack, I'll add in Zelnorm for a couple of weeks. It does give me some D and lots of tummy gurgles but it sometimes will help calm things down before I go into a full blown, months on end, terrible attack.

I definitely do not think its the wonder drug they say on the advertisements but I do use it occasionally and it sometimes help. A lot of people, myself included, seem to build up a sort of tolerance to it very quickly. Meaning that it will seem to help for a little while, a few weeks maybe, than it just stops working all together.

a couple of years ago when it was brand new on the market. At first it worked great, but after about 3 weeks, my system went right back to C with no relief. I discovered this site not long after that, and with Acacia and a few diet modifications, I am now mostly stable. I hope you find relief.

I'm on it now, along with Miralax. My doc had me take three Zs a day, but I've backed it off to two. I take one dosage of Miralax/day.

I still feel like crap. Bloated.
