I was looking at the Beano site, and it says this http://www.beanogas.com/whatsnew2.asp which is abotu "Complex Carboydrate Intolerance". I've never heard of it before, and I was wondering how it relates to IBS(if it does). I know personally, I've been taking Beano almost every day, and I feel great
Also, if Beano helps me to digest fruits/veggies well, does that mean the insoluble fiber of them doesn't bother me, that it's really the natural sugars in it that is? Or can Beano help with fiber?

Can you tolerat the IF grains, like wheat bread or brown rice, millet, etc, now that you take beano? Doesn't the artificial sweeteners in beano cause you problems? How many do you take per day? I've been taking about 4 a day and still have so much gas and tummy problems. That's why I suspect the Artifial sweeteners could be a problem.
Sorry I can't help with your answers. But I would guess that yes, it must be the sugar and not the fiber. But that's just a guess. Maybe someone else can help us.

I think that it's the sugars that complex carbohydrates contain--they are more or less indigestible and they are usually in both the IF and the SF. There are so many types of fiber with all kinds of sugars. Then again, IF is indigestible, too.
Yes, it's a combination.

No, although I was going to start taking it again before I bought the Beano. Now that I take the Beano pills I don't think I need the Metamucil really, although perhaps I should to up my daily fiber intake(not sure what it is right now). For some reason after taking the Metamucil and having it work well for me, my IBS is now not as bad as it used to be even though I'm off it, though still not perfect. Ufff tonight I ate an apple with no Beano...now it's bothering me!!
