Gas and Bloat due to sleep deprivation?

Okay, I'm not exactly sleep deprived, but seriously on the verge I would think! My teething 10 month old doesn't sleep! For two weeks now I haven't slept for more than a 2 hour chunk of time. Some nights we were up every hour. I am a full time student so my days are filled w/ homework and I don't nap when he naps (not that he does that often anyway). I had been doing great with regards to my IBS for while, but now that his sleeping has gone downhill again I am having gas pains and serious bloating. I haven't eaten anything unsafe; I pretty much stick to the exact same things EVERY day because I'd rather be bored w/ my food than in pain. I was feeling so stable, and now I'm not!
Do you think my serious lack of sleep could be the culprit? Or am I just trying too hard to blame it on something?
Thanks for your thoughts.

i got in the cycle of going to sleep at 2ish AM and waking up at 845. during those days i always felt really yucky. i think it throws off your sleep schedule going to bed so late b/c then you digest late..and on into the next day. that happens alot with me and its awful!
im sorry to hear that you arent sleeping. i babysit during the week and the parents there havent hardly slept either since their 1-year old was born! good luck and hang in there. meanwhile, if youre uncomfortable at work, you could take some peppermint tea or chamomile tea and drink that. take care~

I haven't been sleeping very well lately for some reason. And my symptoms are much worse. The BMs, bloat, gas, pain are worse when I have less sleep and less energy to deal with it all too.
Any ideas on how to sleep better? I can't turn my mind off. And this is with the help of Valerian and Klonopin.
