Is this the norm for anyone else during the days following an attack?

I had a pretty rough couple of days this week; the first real attack (by my definition) since probably November. It really stunk. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else is like this following a bad couple of days: anything I eat causes me gas and bloating! Even my safe foods. I'm not necessarily in pain (a gas pain here and there) but mostly just uncomfortable and bloated. I look like I'm pregnant by bedtime! I also have quite a bit of mucus when I go to the bathroom, often times w/out a BM (sorry if that's TMI!). I just hate that I feel like my whole system is out of whack! Anything I eat makes me gassy! Yuck! Is my body just readjusting itself after the attack?

Thanks for help!

I sometimes am like that after an attack for a couple of days. During that time I like to drink a lot of hot tea, and have some comfort food like homemade chicken noodle or chicken rice soup, and salted crackers.

Yup, definitely. Even with safe foods, I get gassy and it's so embarrassing. I load up on Gas-x and sometimes it helps some. It can take me a few days to get back into a somewhat normal shape! Hope you're feeling better soon!

Yep, you bet! I think your right to say that it is your system readjusting itself. Just got to be careful, not much you can do but stick to safe foods, & truck thru it. Don't let it get you down, you'll feel better soon!!
