Communion should give you peace of mind -- probably the best thing for IBS! PLEASE don't stress / worry about this! For special occasions, they'll sometimes serve the wine, like at Christmas and Easter , but that's usually it,and it is always wine, not grape juice . And we have communion at almost every service. We are offered either wine or grape juice. I was raised Roman Catholic and I used to just take the host and skip the wine.
