I'm on the 6th day of the diet and need advice!

Hi! I started the diet five and a half days ago by eating only pasta, rice, white bread, potatos, bananas and drinking peppermint tea. So far nothing has changed and it's getting difficult from day to day to stick to this diet. Should i start expanding the diet even though i don't see a change yet? And if i do what can i add to the diet?

Are you IBS-C or D? I'm C, and I found that I had to start incorporating some insoluble fiber pretty soon - too much soluble fiber actually made me more C. Also - are you getting a soluble fiber supplement and drinking LOTS of water? Even with D, being hydrated is key. Have a look round the boards for some of the other postings by people new to the diet. You may find some answers to your questions that way, too. And it does take time to stabilise...It took me three months. But it's totally worth it, so hang in there.

Yes. 5 days is too long to be on the SF-only diet. Start incorporating IF foods now!

Frankly i don't know if i'm C or D. I go to the bathroom few times a day but not because i have to, just to relieve the uncomfotness (if there is such a word, i'm from Israel) in my stomach. I always leave the bathroom a little bit relieved but never empty enough. I didn't start taking any supplement yet, maybe i will order acacia supplement. Thanks for the info!
