Hi All,
Today I went to this cool little tea shop and purchased a tea ball, and several herbs including fennel & chamomille. My question now is how many times can herbs be used to make cups of tea.
Like when I use the fennel, how much do I use?? How many times can I reuse it. How long do I steep it>>>>
Thanks

I think it's all a matter of personal preference. For example, on Heather's fennel, it says to use 1-2 T in 8 oz. of water. On other loose teas I get, they usually say anywhere from 1 to 2 tsp. But, Heather does recommend really strong for the benefits. Personally, I can't drink it that strong...I really don't like the taste of fennel though. So, I just mix them. For example, right now I'm steeping a cup that has some peppermint, some fennel, and some chamo all mixed together. I'd say about total there's about 1 - 1 1/2 T in there. (I use the kind that is a strainer that sits right in the mug) If you have a tea ball, don't fill it more than half with tea, because when it gets wet it will need room to expand. And you use the tea one time and you're done with it, you can throw it away.
