Robin, if you google it, you'll find out about it. Also search on this board. I don't think we think it's a good idea. Too radical and irritating. I'm having good luck with triphalla, ground flax seed and magnesium citrate powder (Calm) taken before bed. I spent a week in the hosp. with a bowel obstruction and everyone there recommended magnesium citrate (liquid in bottle) when you are desperate. xo

Boo thanks so much for replying. So you are suggesting 3 things. Triphalla, flax seed and mag. citrate powder or liquid. Take all 3 together at nite. Isn't the mag. citrate used for bowel prep?

The MG citrate I take at night is called CALM, contains a highly absorbable proprietary blend of magnesium citrate. Start with 1 t or less and work up to 3 t./day. 3 t contain 615 mg of magnesium. Available at health food stores. I never took MG citrate for prep. The bottle that may be used for prep is a saline laxative as it contains 50 mg Na/oz. and 1.745g/fl oz of magnesium. My preps were Miralax that didn't work and then the last one was 2 gallons of ? Can't remember, sounded good but was horrible. Hope this answers your question.

Robin, I write horrible posts. I take the triphalla in the afternoon (or anytime) with water, the flaxseed meal with rice milk in the morning. Just take the CALM before bed. Don't take the bottle of mg citrate. That is for emergency use only and if you don't have high BP. Sorry. I sure hope you didn't take that whole bottle.

Robin, I don't know what you mean. The container says Mg citrate, it's a powder called CALM. There's other ways to obtain it, I guess. Here's a web page. I don't know how to send links. WholeHealthMd, Within in our Healing Centers you will discover a broad range of ways to manage over 100 health conditions and illnesses using integrative ...
www.wholehealthmd.com or Google Mg citrate. xo. B
