Stinky gas!

I don't know why lately I've had such stinky gas. It's embarrassing! Normally after I go, the problem is relieved but the last few days, no matter if I go or not, I still have it. Can soy make this happen? I've been having soy milk in my tea, cereal and soy pizza which is a new thing for me. Other than that, I've just been eating safely. Any remedies? I just ordered a bunch of beano hoping that helps with my meals.

Yes, soy can cause "stinky" gas.

If it is soy -- and you have been having more than usual -- the problem should correct itself as your body adjusts to the soy. Sometimes it's best to gradually up your increase of soy. The beano may help as soy does come from a bean.

I got really horribly smelling gas when I started using acacia -- other people have problems with certain other foods - like oatmeal (that bothers me too). So you may want to look out for other possible triggers as well.

Good luck and I hope you're feeling better soon.

I eat soy and it doesn't seem to make a difference in the smell. But if I eat too much at one sitting, or something I am not supposed to eat....watch out!

I haven't tried this yet, but see this earlier post I made. Cranberry juice for smelly gas

I'd lay off the soy totally. I never eat or drink it, personally. I'm fine with rice substitutes.
