I went to the Dr. for my IBS symptoms about two weeks ago. The Dr. said to take fiber 2 times per day. For the first few days I took the powder form of Citricell and felt like there was a coating in my mouth so I switched to Citricell in the pill form twice a day. About last Wednesday I began to feel like my mouth has dry and it became more difficult to swallow. Has anyone else had this problem before? What should I do about it? I don't want to stop taking the Fiber, because since I started it I have had no problems with my IBS.
Help.

Maybe you can try another fibre like FibreSmart by Renewlife, Acacia (Heather sells it), or Superseed by Garden of Life.

I've used both Citrucel and acacia, and never had this problem. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is maybe you're not getting enough fluid? How much non-caffeinated liquid are you drinking each day?

They work wonders for me too -- but you do have to drink enough water. How much water do you drink with each dose --and then throughout the day? It should be at least 8 oz with each dose and then the rest of the day -- well that may depend on whether or not you are a C or D. C's need more water than Ds do.

How much water were you mixing it with. I have a 32oz cup I put one scoop in and drink over time at my desk. Usally finish the cup by lunch. I've gotten so use to it, it's like water to me. I've started adding Acacia with little problem.

Maybe I don't drink enough water with it. It was uncomfortable though and i am a little afraid of taking it. i thought if I tried the Acacia I might not have the problem, because it might be a reaction to the fillers, maybe I am allergic or something.

Are these all natural? Maybe I am having a reaction to the fillers

I use both Citrucel and acacia, you need to drink lots of water with both. I've made the mistake of not drinking enough water and the next day is was painful to go to the bathroom
