I got nauseated--and this burpy fishy taste as well as gassy from the caps. Maybe they dissolved too fast?
I tried taking it straight-up, too and well, that gave me big time D and vomitting.

Jaime:
If you're okay with a tsp. of olive oil, perhaps substitute flax oil?
From personal experience, HEMP OIL tastes much yummier and has an excellent omega 3-6 profile. I preferred that much better.
My problem--it's too yummy!

I think flax oil only has the Omega 3s in it.

been able to find it in the refridgerated section. All stores have had it on the shelf (like 5 different stores).
What brand did you use?

and I just got it (ordered it) but haven't started taking it. Should I not be taking it if it is just in the cupboard?
Also, I have unfortunately heard that fish oil can aggravate D in some people that I know at home that have tried to take it and haven't had sucess with it. I think the key is to find a safe way to take it and start out slow and see how your body does.
Cheers!

Flax Seed Oil should be refrigerated, or it can and will go rancid. Check out what Dr. Dean Ornish says in the link in a previous post of mine. I buy my capsules at the local health food store, the only place I've ever found it:

Honestly, every single HFS owner has assured me that it does not have to be refrigerated...so they stick it on the shelf.
Is it better to just skip it altogether since I can't find it refrigerated? I have tried many, many stores and not one refrigerates them. They insist it doesn't need to be. They keep the oil refridgerated, but not the capsules. Could this actually be hurting me? Not just not helping, but actually hurting?
Thanks

Beth, I wouldn't panic, but I WOULD throw it out and buy it ONLY where kept refrigerated. Are all these "many, many stores" where you are buying it reputable health food stores?
Sorry, but I know nothing about Primrose Oil.
