experiences with naturopaths?

Hey everyone! I did a search trying to find out whether people had been helped by seeing naturopaths and didn't find too much. I may be spelling the word wrong though! Most of the posts that came up were warnings about not to use a particular supplement that the naturopath had recommended.
So, I'm wondering what the general consensus is on using these people. Has anyone felt that it's been beneficial?
I found a local naturopath that specializes in gut disorders/diseases, but I'd like to get an idea of what other people's experiences have been before I go and spend the money.

I started seeing one this summer. I really like her. Some do other things beyond the medical aspects (mine does) so it's hard to compare one with another because they are all very unique in their personal beliefs and practices. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for on your path to improving your health. Go ahead and at least see them once. What can it hurt?
