Not that I would ever encourage someone NOT to take it, seeing as it's very important...but just wanted to let you guys know that it can trigger symptoms! I took it yesterday and the past 2 days I feel like a beach ball in pain! Guess it's a good reminder not to mess up on your birth control So yeah, just letting you guys know what to expect if you ever get it. Oddly enough it's only a double dose of the birth control pill, which has never affected me in this way.

Interesting. I read in Glamour that women not on the pill should keep this on hand in case of, you know, accidents... Interesting. I'm getting off into non ibs territory here, sorry.

Since IBS is hormone-sensitive, it makes sense that the morning-after pill would cause problems. Given what the alternative is, one bad IBS day ain't that bad...

I have read that it carries a lot of risks like blood clots and extreme heavy menstrual bleeding.
I think it should be only something the doctor can prescribe who knows the patients medical history.

Yeah, you can have some spotting afterwards, but it's the same risks as taking the birth control pill. And obviously it's not supposed to be used all the time hopefully, just in those "oops!" circumstances.
