I did a search on this, but couldn't find the exact info I was looking for. My GI dr changed me today from Clindex to Levbid. The Clindex didn't seem to be helping much anymore. I'm wondering what everyone's experience with Levbid was like...did you get symptoms right away, did they go away? Not too long after taking my first dose I got horrid cotton mouth. It felt so dry & yuck in the back of my mouth. Then my eyes started feeling dry & blurry & I got a headache. These are all possible side effects, I'm just wondering if they go away after you adjust to it. If I'm gonna feel like this all the time, I'm not sure I want to stay on this! I was very disappointed in my appt today...I think he MAY have spent 10 minutes with me & I'm being generous at that. He did order blood work & stool samples though. NOT looking forward to that! Considering I had to take an Immodium before leaving the house today, it'll probably be a week before I can supply that anyways! Uggh.
Anyways, just wondering what other people's experiences were like with this drug. Thanks!

basically the same problems for me. I can't tolerate those types of medicines at all. They constipate me something terrible. Dry mouth, extremely blurry vision, problems urinating.
Needless to say I don't take them anymore.

Yeah, the same thing for me too. Extremely dry mouth and blurred vision. I don't think they really helped a lot anyways. Out of the anti-spasm drugs I've tried, I seem to tolerate Donnatol the best. It does have a very mild sedative in it so it can make me tired somtimes but it helps the most. I don't take it everyday though, just when I need it.
